Lord, what fools these Republicans be
First, if I have any loyal readers, I’m sorry for the delay in posting a new blog. My real job has actually been busy and nearly interesting lately. I got to go to Virginia on business and managed to get just enough spare time to visit St John’s Church in Richmond . For those of you who do not know, this is where Patrick Henry gave his famous “Give me liberty or give me death” speech. I stood in the room where 6 signers of the Declaration of Independence debated about whether or not to form the Virginia Militia. After Patrick Henry’s speech, they decided to form that militia under the command of George Washington (who was also there that night). It was the beginning of the revolution, and I was standing in the room where it all happened. I get goose bumps just thinking about it. Those men, in that room, changed the course of human history and they did it so that they might free their children of tyranny. They wanted liberty ...
